There is a wide
variety of wildlife to be seen on the Isle of Arran
-
for example - birds of prey, seals, otters
and deer.
Seals are a
fairly common sight around the coast
-
a good place to spot some is at the south of the Island at Kildonan.
Deer are are found at the North End of the Island - especially Lochranza.
Wild goats can be found on Holy Isle.
Adders are fairly shy, but can be glimpsed in some of the Arran glens.
These dolphins
were spotted off the coast at Lochranza.
Porpoises and Basking Sharks may also be seen.
You may see a Golden Eagle at the North End. Buzzards are far more common.
This picture was taken in the back garden of Hill View!
A good time for seeing wild flowers is during May and June.
